![]() ![]() We will be going back in the summer for a warmer experience. I think even though it was mid winter the staff didn't tidy up the park as it could be. I was a bit turned off by the waste of our tax payers money. My only complaint I had was while walking on the trails we saw extra trail building material just tossed in the bushes (a mesh screen). So we thanked him but thought it was a bit over the top as there were only one other couple camping nearby, rules are rules I guess. Tyson Gillard Located in the center of Dash Point State Park on the western edge of Federal Way, Dash Point State Park Campground is built to handle the masses. We did and he said the ranger would ticket us if he saw it off. I heard stories of the ranger not being friendly and when the camp host came by and noticed our dog was not on a leash while we sat by the fire pit he stopped and asked us to put it on her. There are also other trails up to a picnic area overlooking the sound,pretty as well. At 20' outside your bumm got a bit cold.The next day we found a trail down to the beach that was very pretty and maintained well. The restrooms were all clean but not heated. The tide was out and we were able to walk a ways on the beach. We walked across the road and down the drive to the beach the first night. When we arrived our site had a card with our name and dates saying reserved. ends at a T-intersection, make a right onto 47th St. We booked online through the state park site.
